This home page is one very important means of providing general information about school programs, opportunities and procedures. Revisions to and clarifications of this information will first be available in the NDE Newsletter. Questions about specific situations should be directed to a teacher or to the office. Suggestions about this page, or any aspect of the operation of North Decatur Elementary, are welcome. Rob Smith, Principal Dave Sell, Administrative Assistant, Web page editor

IMPORTANT: EMERGENCY EARLY DISMISSAL: Does your child know what to do in case school is closed early? School could be closed early due to a power outage, a loss of water supply, weather related problems, or other unexpected problems. You must have a plan ahead of time. Do not include in your plan that your child will call you. We have only two phone lines and we need to keep one open to deal with the problem that is causing the early dismissal. If you believe that you must be called, you must call and discuss the situation with Mr. Smith. If your child does not know what to do, then we will be forced to make arrangements as we deem the most appropriate. In some cases, that would mean keeping the child at school (if that is safe). In other cases, the child might be taken to another location. Please plan ahead, and let us know your plan.

ATTENTION PARENTS!!!!! At registration, you were given a Harmony School Management Software form to complete. By doing this, you provided us with your email address. We have been entering email addresses and forwarding parents information concerning their child’s school information. This process allows you to enter your child’s school records by using an assigned password given in a return email from us. If you have not received this information, please contact us with your email address and we will enter your information and get you started with this new program we are offering to our parents in our school system. This is one more way for parents to be informed of their child’s education and communicate with school.
If you have a Harmony login name and password click here for access to the system. |
